Voice Training

Train the AI to match your writing style by providing sample posts and configuring tone preferences.

What is voice training?

Voice training teaches the AI to write in your personal style. Instead of generic AI-sounding content, the posts generated for you will match your tone, vocabulary, and formatting preferences.

How to set up voice training

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the Voice Training or Sample Posts section
  3. Paste 3-5 of your best LinkedIn posts into the sample posts field
  4. Click Save

The AI analyzes your samples and uses them as a reference when generating new content. The more samples you provide, the better the AI understands your style.

What makes good samples

Include variety

Choose posts that cover different topics and formats. Include a mix of:

  • A storytelling post
  • A tips or advice post
  • A personal reflection
  • A promotional or educational post

This gives the AI a well-rounded understanding of how you write across different content types.

Choose your best work

Use posts that represent the writing style you want to replicate. Pick posts that:

  • Got good engagement on LinkedIn
  • Sound authentically like you (not heavily edited by someone else)
  • Are at least 200 characters long
  • Represent the quality level you want for future content

What to avoid

  • Posts written by someone else or heavily ghostwritten
  • Very short posts (under 100 characters)
  • Posts that are mostly hashtags or links
  • Content that does not represent your current voice (outdated posts from years ago)

How the AI uses your samples

When you generate a post, the AI references your sample posts to:

  • Match your sentence structure (short and punchy vs. flowing and detailed)
  • Use similar vocabulary and phrases
  • Follow your formatting patterns (line breaks, bullet points, emojis)
  • Maintain your typical tone (professional, casual, humorous, etc.)

Updating your samples

Your writing style may evolve over time. We recommend updating your sample posts every few months to keep the AI aligned with your current voice. Replace older samples with recent posts that better represent how you write today.

Tips

  • Quality over quantity - 3 excellent samples are better than 10 mediocre ones
  • Test and iterate - Generate a few posts, review the output, and adjust your samples if the tone does not feel right
  • Combine with tone settings - Voice training works together with your writing tone selection for the best results
