Business Profile

Fill in your business profile so the AI generates relevant, on-brand LinkedIn content.

What is the Business Profile?

The Business Profile is a card in Settings where you provide details about your business, expertise, and audience. The AI references these fields every time it generates content, so the more complete your profile, the more relevant and on-brand your posts will be.

Business Profile fields

The Business Profile contains seven fields. Fill in as many as you can for best results.

Business Name

The name of your company, product, or personal brand. This helps the AI reference your business by name when appropriate.

Niche / Industry

The industry or niche you operate in. Examples: "B2B SaaS," "Career coaching," "Digital marketing," "Health & wellness." This helps the AI use the right terminology and context for your field.

What do you do?

A description of what your business does. Write 2-4 sentences covering your product or service, who you serve, and what makes you different.

Example: "We build a project management tool for remote teams of 10-50 people. We help distributed teams stay aligned without excessive meetings. Our key differentiator is async-first communication built into every workflow."

Products / Services

List the specific products or services you offer. This helps the AI mention or reference your offerings naturally in generated content.

Example: "LinkedIn content strategy consulting, 1-on-1 coaching, group workshops, online course on personal branding"

Target Audience

Describe who you are trying to reach with your content. Include job titles, industries, company sizes, or any other relevant details.

Example: "Startup founders, Marketing managers, B2B SaaS leaders at companies with 10-200 employees"

The placeholder reads: e.g., Startup founders, Marketing managers

Key Topics

The main topics you want to create content about. This guides the AI toward subjects that matter to your brand and audience.

Example: "Remote work productivity, async communication, team management, startup culture"

Additional Context / FAQ

Any extra information that helps the AI understand your brand better. This could include frequently asked questions about your business, your brand values, your unique perspective, or anything else you want the AI to keep in mind.

Example: "We believe meetings should be the last resort, not the default. Our audience is tired of Zoom fatigue and wants practical alternatives."

How the AI uses your Business Profile

Every time you generate content, the AI references your Business Profile to:

  • Focus on topics relevant to your industry and niche
  • Use appropriate terminology and jargon
  • Highlight your expertise and value proposition
  • Tailor examples and case studies to your business
  • Speak directly to your target audience's pain points

Tips

  • Be specific, not generic. "I help people with marketing" is too vague. "I help B2B SaaS companies with LinkedIn content strategy" gives the AI much more to work with.
  • Update when your business evolves. If you launch a new product, pivot your focus, or change your target market, update your profile fields.
  • Include numbers when possible. "15 years of experience" or "helped 200+ clients" adds credibility that the AI can incorporate into your content.
  • Fill in all seven fields. The more context you provide, the better the AI performs. Even a few words in each field makes a difference.
