What is YouTube to LinkedIn?
YouTube to LinkedIn lets you turn any YouTube video into a LinkedIn post. The AI extracts key insights from the video transcript and rewrites them as a standalone LinkedIn post in your writing voice.
This is useful when you watch industry content - interviews, conference talks, tutorials, breakdowns - and want to share the insights with your LinkedIn audience without just dropping a link that the algorithm will bury.
How to use it
Step 1 - Paste a YouTube URL
Go to Repurpose in the sidebar and paste any YouTube video URL. LinkedGrow automatically detects it as a YouTube source and pulls the video transcript.
Both youtube.com/watch?v=... and youtu.be/... short links work.
Step 2 - Choose a hook
The AI analyzes the transcript and generates multiple hooks - different angles you could take for your LinkedIn post. Each hook highlights a different insight or argument from the video. Pick the one that fits the message you want to share.
Step 3 - Pick a post variation
Based on your selected hook, the AI generates 3 post variations. Each one takes a different approach - maybe one is a story format, another is a list, another is a hot take. Select the one you like best.
Step 4 - Edit and publish
The selected post opens in the editor where you can refine the text, attach images, save as draft, schedule for later, or publish immediately to LinkedIn.
Tips for YouTube repurposing
- One video, multiple posts. A 30-minute video can give you 2-3 completely different LinkedIn posts by pulling different threads from it.
- Add your own take. The best repurposed posts include your perspective on the video's content, not just a summary of what was said.
- Credit the creator. Mention the video creator in your post - it builds goodwill and they might engage with your post.
- Works with any video that has a transcript. The AI needs a transcript to work with, so videos without captions or auto-generated subtitles may not produce results.
