Reddit to LinkedIn

Turn viral Reddit discussions into engaging LinkedIn content ideas and posts.

What is Reddit to LinkedIn?

Reddit is full of authentic discussions, industry insights, and trending topics that make excellent LinkedIn content. The Reddit to LinkedIn feature lets you import any Reddit thread and transform it into a LinkedIn-appropriate post. It uses the same repurposing tool with a Reddit URL.

How it works

Reddit to LinkedIn follows the same 4-step repurposing flow:

Step 1 - Paste the Reddit URL

Find an interesting Reddit thread in a subreddit relevant to your industry, copy the URL, and paste it into the Repurpose page in LinkedGrow. The tool automatically detects it as a Reddit source and fetches the thread content along with top comments.

Step 2 - Choose a hook or angle

The AI analyzes the Reddit discussion and generates multiple hooks and angles you could take for your LinkedIn post. These might focus on the original post's insight, a contrarian viewpoint from the comments, or a broader takeaway from the debate. Select the angle that fits your message.

Step 3 - Pick a post variation

Based on your selected hook, the AI generates 3 post variations. Each takes a different approach -- one might be a story format, another a list of takeaways, another an opinion piece. Review them and select the one you like best.

Step 4 - Edit and publish

The selected post opens in a built-in editor where you can:

  • Refine the text manually
  • Attach images to the post
  • Save as a draft
  • Schedule for a future date and time
  • Publish immediately to LinkedIn

The AI does not simply copy the Reddit content. It extracts the core insight or debate, restructures it for a professional audience, and formats it with LinkedIn best practices (strong hook, proper length, engagement triggers).

Finding good Reddit content

Look for threads that:

  • Have high engagement (lots of upvotes and comments indicate a topic that resonates)
  • Contain genuine insights or contrarian viewpoints
  • Relate to your industry or your audience's interests
  • Spark debate or discussion (these translate well to LinkedIn engagement)

Popular subreddits for business content include r/entrepreneur, r/startups, r/marketing, r/sales, r/technology, and niche industry subreddits.

Best practices

Always add your own perspective. Do not just repost what someone on Reddit said. Use the thread as a springboard for your own insights, experiences, or opinions.

Adapt the tone. Reddit is casual and anonymous. LinkedIn is professional and personal. The AI handles most of this translation, but review the output to make sure it matches your voice.

Credit the source when appropriate. If you are directly referencing a specific Reddit post or user's insight, mentioning that you "saw an interesting discussion on Reddit" adds authenticity without needing to link directly.

Use it for inspiration, not copying. The goal is to take ideas that are trending in communities and bring your professional expertise to the conversation.

Plan availability

Reddit importing is available on Starter, Pro, and Business plans as part of the content repurposing feature.
