Network Notifications
Get an email when people in your circle publish on LinkedIn so you never miss their posts.
Overview
Network Notifications lets you create small groups of people whose LinkedIn posts you want to follow closely. When anyone in a group publishes a post via LinkedGrow, every other group member receives an email with a link straight to that post on LinkedIn.
That's it. The feature is an email notifier, nothing more. LinkedGrow does not like, comment, repost, or interact with the post on your behalf. If you want to engage, you click through to LinkedIn and engage there, in your own voice, on your own time - exactly as you would if a friend had texted you the link.
Network Notifications is available on the Pro plan and higher.
Why this exists
LinkedIn's feed is noisy. If you follow a few hundred people, you regularly miss posts from the people you most care about - your peers, your network, the creators whose work you actually want to read.
A network group is just a small list of people whose posts you do not want to miss. The notification gets the post in front of you while it is fresh. What you do next is entirely up to you.
Requirements
To use Network Notifications, every participant needs:
- A Pro plan or higher on LinkedGrow
- A LinkedIn account connected to LinkedGrow (Dashboard > Settings > LinkedIn) - this is how LinkedGrow knows when they have published
Creating a Group
- Go to Network Notifications in the left sidebar
- Click New Group
- Enter a name (e.g. "Founder Circle", "Marketing Friends")
- Click Create
You are automatically added as the owner.
Inviting Members
- Find your group and click Invite
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
- Click Send Invitation
They receive an email with a link to join. They need a LinkedGrow account on Pro or higher to accept. Invitations expire after 7 days. You can cancel a pending invitation at any time.
What happens when someone publishes
When any group member publishes a LinkedIn post through LinkedGrow:
- LinkedGrow detects the post has gone out
- Every other group member receives an email titled "Someone just published a new post"
- The email contains a short preview of the post and a button labeled View on LinkedIn
- Clicking the button opens the post directly on LinkedIn
LinkedGrow never performs any action on LinkedIn on the recipient's behalf. No automated like, no automated comment, no automated repost. The recipient reads the post on LinkedIn and decides what (if anything) to do.
Managing groups
As the group owner you can:
- Rename a group
- Invite new members
- Remove members you no longer want in the group
- Cancel pending invitations
- Delete a group to permanently remove it
Only the group owner can perform these actions.
Important notes
- Network Notifications is a notification system, not an engagement system. LinkedGrow never likes, comments, or reposts on anyone's behalf.
- The "View on LinkedIn" link in the email opens the post directly on LinkedIn. Any engagement is up to you, manually, on LinkedIn, in your own voice.
- If you want to stop receiving notifications from a group, leave it.
