Perplexity Setup

Overview

Perplexity provides Sonar Deep Research, Sonar Reasoning Pro, Sonar Reasoning, Sonar Pro, and Sonar models. Perplexity models are unique because they can access real-time web information, making them excellent for creating data-backed and trend-aware LinkedIn content.

Step 1 - Create a Perplexity account

1. Go to perplexity.ai/settings/api
2. Create an account or sign in
3. Navigate to the API settings section

Step 2 - Set up billing

1. In the Perplexity API settings, add a payment method
2. Perplexity uses pay-as-you-go billing for API usage

Step 3 - Generate your API key

1. Go to perplexity.ai/settings/api
2. Generate a new API key
3. Copy the key - it starts with pplx-

Step 4 - Configure in LinkedGrow

1. Go to Settings > AI API in LinkedGrow
2. Click the Perplexity tab
3. Paste your API key in the key field
4. Select a model from the dropdown
5. Click Save
