Password Management

Learn how to change your password, reset a forgotten password, and follow security best practices for your LinkedGrow account.

Changing Your Password

If you know your current password and want to change it:

  1. Go to Settings in the left sidebar
  2. Find the Password section
  3. Click Change Password
  4. Enter your current password
  5. Enter your new password
  6. Confirm your new password by typing it again
  7. Click Save

Your password is updated immediately.

Forgot Your Password

If you cannot remember your password, you can reset it using your email address:

  1. Go to the LinkedGrow sign-in page
  2. Click Forgot password? below the password field
  3. Enter the email address associated with your account
  4. Click Send reset link
  5. Check your email inbox for a message from LinkedGrow
  6. Click the reset link in the email
  7. Enter your new password
  8. Confirm your new password
  9. Click Reset Password

The reset link is valid for 1 hour. If the link expires, you can request a new one by repeating the process. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.

Note: If you signed up using Google or LinkedIn OAuth and never set a password, you can still use the forgot password flow to create one. This gives you the option to sign in with either your password or your social login.

Password Requirements

Your LinkedGrow password must meet these requirements:

  • At least 8 characters long

As long as your password meets the minimum length, it will be accepted.

Security Best Practices

Follow these recommendations to keep your account secure:

Use a Unique Password

Do not reuse passwords across different services. If one service is compromised, attackers often try the same password on other platforms. Use a unique password for your LinkedGrow account.

Use a Password Manager

Password managers like 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass generate and store strong, unique passwords for every service you use. This is the most effective way to maintain strong passwords without having to remember them all.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

A strong password is your first line of defense, but adding two-factor authentication (2FA) makes your account significantly more secure. See Two-Factor Authentication to set it up.

Avoid Common Passwords

Do not use easily guessable passwords such as:

  • Your name or email address
  • "password123" or "qwerty"
  • Simple patterns like "12345678"
  • Common words or phrases

Watch for Phishing

LinkedGrow will never ask for your password via email, chat, or phone. If you receive a message asking for your password, do not respond and report it to [email protected].

Always verify that you are on the official LinkedGrow website (linkedgrow.ai) before entering your credentials.

Accounts Using Social Login Only

If you created your account using Google or LinkedIn sign-in and have never set a password, your account is authenticated through your social login provider. You can:

  • Continue signing in exclusively with your social login
  • Set a password using the forgot password flow to have both options available

Having both a password and a social login gives you flexibility in how you access your account.
